Singer/songwriter and guitarist Elliott Morris mixes traditional and original folk and roots material, influenced by rock, pop, blues, country and jazz.
Favouring open tunings, his extended techniques include percussive hits, string tapping, and occasionally slide. Maverick Magazine called Elliott ‘The new face of folk” and BBC 6Music’s Tom Robinson described him as “absurdly talented”. Music blog WriteWyattUK proclaimed that Elliott Morris “redefines folk…with a little John Martyn influence delivered in Seth Lakeman style”.
A prestigious ‘Danny Kyle Award Winner’ from Celtic Connections, Elliott releases his new album in June, with a launch show featuring guest musicians at Cecil Sharp House.
